Israeli Film Screening Nina's Tragedy at 8:30 pm (dusk) at 400 S. Kearney Street, Denver Call 303-394-9993 extension 7 for more informationNina's Tragedies

Nina’s Tragedies unfolds in a series of funny and touching journal entries from sensitive 14-year-old Nadav (Aviv Elkabets), living with his Aunt Nina (Ayelet July Zurer). Nadav helps comfort Nina after the death of her husband in a terrorist attack and develops a hopeless crush on his stunning aunt. From this starting point, Gabizon’s film takes off in a myriad of different directions. Gabizon speaks volumes about the people of contemporary Israel, effectively mixing quirky humor with deep, sympathetic drama. The film is noteworthy for the way it refuses to take a political approach to the story, making this a Israeli film that examines the needs and emotions of its characters.

Screening will be held at dusk (about 8:30 pm) on the museum lawn at 400 S. Kearney Street.
Bring a blanket or lawnchair. Call 303. 394.9993 x7 for more information about the film.
