Do you want to gain exclusive access to private collections and studios in Denver? Do you want to learn how to experience and embrace different styles and forms of art and discover how art has enriched the lives of collectors in Denver?
Whether you’re a novice or experienced art collector or enthusiast, you’ll love Denver Collects. This new series of programs from the Mizel Museum will include visits to view private home collections and exclusive tours of art galleries in the RiNo Art District. Each program features a presentation by and discussion with a local private collector or gallery representative.
This second program in the series, Embracing Contemporary Art: the Ins and Outs of Collecting, will be led and hosted by Ivar Zeile and Plus Gallery, one of Denver Colorado’s most reputable programs for contemporary art exhibitions and artist representation. Operating independently since 2001, Plus Gallery and its artists have received major acclaim on both local and national levels, and the gallery itself was named “Art Space of the Year” in 2009 by the Denver Post. In addition to Directing Plus Gallery’s distinct and cultivated exhibits and programs, Zeile served as a member of the Denver Mayor’s Commission for Cultural Affairs from 2006 though 2011, and in the last decade has served as a board member for a variety of art-related groups including PlatteForum, the Denver Art Museum’s DAM Contemporaries, RedLine and the Invisible Museum.
