The Mizel Museum is pleased to present for the second year, At the Table with Dr. King, a program that uses multimedia, poetry and live music to call students to action and service in their communities. This traveling program will come to George Washington High School in Denver February 12, 2014.
At the Table with Dr. King immerses middle and high school students in the sights and sounds of the American Civil Rights Movement, focusing on a defining moment in the life of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. when he rose above his circumstances and responded to his call to action and service in his community. The hour-long program features talented musicians, vocalists and a spoken word artist.
Two performances: 9:30 am and 11:30 am.
Tickets are $9 per person. Reservations are required.
