Artist-in-Residence Dona Laurita • Visiting Artist Anne Thulson
This special camp is specifically designed to help middle school girls find and express their own individual path in a fun and personal way through creative arts. Join artist-in residence Dona Laurita on a journey of self-discovery through photography, mixed-media art and writing. Visiting artist Anne Thulson will join to introduce and explore the lives of several women artists who will encourage and inspire the girls’ self-expression. Campers will make beautiful, meaningful projects they will treasure.
No Strings Attached: Puppets & Masks From Around the World
Offered in cooperation with and held at Boulder JCC

Artist-in-Residence Betsy Tobin
Join local puppeteer, Betsy Tobin, who will guide kids on a fun, interactive tour of puppet and mask traditions from around the world. Campers will sketch, design and create their own finger puppets, rod puppets, Chinese dragon puppets, and Indonesian shadow puppets. They will also make simple masks inspired by African and Mexican masks and learn basics of masked acting and puppetry to bring their characters to life!

Using Hebrew children’s books and nationally-acclaimed books from PJ Library® including Bagels for Benny and It Could Be Worse, children literally “jump” into these stories through creative dramatics, fantastic art projects, movement and more!
