This celebratory, multi-age, end-of-summer camp is a great opportunity for kids to share their “lens” of the summer. Professional photographer and conceptual artist, Dona Laurita, provides campers an opportunity to capture images of summer with professional cameras and equipment. Along with taking individual pictures, kids will collaborate on an interactive community photo quilt. Kids will enhance their chronicles with painting, writing, collage and more. Dona will also invite a musical guest to work with kids to create original songs and audio recordings all about the most amazing summer of 2011. This camp will culminate with a closing exhibit and celebration of the entire 2011 Creative Journeys Season for family and friends.

Creative Journeys Artist-in-Residence camps are completely unique and unusually fun encouraging kids to get up-close and personal with professional artists by studying their work and experimenting with similar approaches, techniques and materials. Camp size is limited in order to allow our reaching artists to work closely with each camper to develop their skills and creative ideas.
