Join us for a preview of the Generations: Survivor Stories collection, to be launched as part of the permanent exhibit on April 19. Generations digital stories are short documentaries of members of the community who survived the Shoah in Ukraine, Greece, Poland, Germany, Siberia, Latvia and France, along with their children and/or grandchildren. Digital stories will be screened, followed by an open discussion with the storytellers. Hors d’oeuvres and refreshments will be served.
Storytellers: Jack Welner, Talia Zall, Irene Abosch, Eric Cahn and Miriam Hoffman
Generations: Survivor Stories is part of the museum’s groundbreaking Community Narratives Project, a compilation of profiles of 26 Denver Jewish community members through an audio/visual format that deepens the learning experience for museum visitors and highlights the central theme of immigration. Each story is personal and compelling, and simultaneously gives a sense of the powerful history and legacy of the Jewish people.
