There is an artist in all of us, and Boris Shoshensky, professional artist, professor and resident art instructor at the Mizel Museum, strives to nurture that talent through individualized studio direction. Boris’s art classes attract students from all walks of life and all skill levels. A well-known master painter, Shoshensky teaches concepts and techniques for all levels.

Painting classes are offered on Tuesdays midday or Wednesday evenings. The Mizel Museum offers a punch card, so you can come to any classes you wish and don’t have to worry about missing a class.

Registration Options:
Daytime Classes – Every Tuesday, 10:00 am -2:00 pm
6 Classes = $135/person

Evening Classes – Every Wednesday, 4:00 -7:00 pm
6 Classes = $108/person

About the Intructor
Boris Shoshensky is an exhibiting artist and art educator for 20 years, serving on the faculty of several art colleges in Colorado. His course covers materials and techniques of watercolor, acrylic, oil painting and sketching, based on students’ preferences. The course emphasizes still life and landscapes, and students will develop skills in drawing, composition, color and brush control. Planning and development of painting are explained and demonstrated according to the skill levels of each student.
